The Colt Python ceased mass production in 1999. Colt continued to produce Pythons for custom orders until 2005 when the limited number of parts that were left were finally all used.  However, in 2020 Colt announced that it would begin manufacturing new versions of the Colt Python line. These new models are made of a stronger stainless steel than the originals and they are available in 4.25” or 6” barrels with wood grips. Although, serious collectors prefer the original Pythons and view them as more valuable and desirable compared to the new manufactured models

Glock has a diverse production with varied models and calibers that affect the value of the pistol. From the Glock 44 chambered in .22LR to the Glock 40 chambered in the powerful 10mm, the value and demand varies in the used market. Modifications to Glocks can also increase or decrease value. Companies such as Zev Technologies and Agency Arms make specialized slides and barrels that can easily be swapped with the OEM parts.
